Some creatures are composed of pure Spirit, and cannot be harmed by physical weapons or Elemental magicks. These creatures include Lorewardens using the Discorporate miracle and various incorporeal undead such as wraiths. Such creatures can only be affected by miracles, powers and items which do Spirit or Spirit Through damage. Creatures without Spirits, such as Elementals and Iaché, will not even register or be able to detect the existence of purely spiritual creatures.
Some creatures, mainly Elementals and Iaché, do not have a Spirit. Such creatures are entirely unaffected by all miracles, whether those miracles would otherwise be harmful, beneficial or divinatory.
Consecration and some miracles and other powers enable a weapon or other item to inflict Spirit damage. In most situations this is handled in the same way as normal damage, and is still stopped by physical armour and magickal defences. The difference is that it is capable of affecting incorporeal creatures and other beings which are affected only by spiritual damage and not by physical or Elemental attacks. Any effects which inflict Spirit damage should be called as "Spirit [damage]". (e.g. "Spirit Single", "Spirit Double", etc.)
Some miracles result in a target taking Spirit Through damage. Spirit Through damage works as Spirit damage, except that physical armour and Elemental magickal protection offer no defence against it. Consecrated armour will provide its normal protection against Spirit Through damage, but Enchanted armour won't. Any effects which inflict Spirit Through damage should be called as "Spirit Through [damage]". (e.g. "Spirit Through Single", "Spirit Through Double", etc.)
For example, if a character has three hits on their Body location, is wearing ring mail armour (+4 hits) and is protected by a Protection II spell (+2 hits) then they can take 9 hits of normal damage from a sword to their Body location before losing consciousness. But a couple of Spirit Bolt miracles will inflict 4 points of Spirit Through damage directly to their Body location, putting their Body on negative hits whilst leaving their armour and their magickal defences intact. If the armour had been Consecrated, then it would provide its usual full defence (+4 hits) against this Spirit Through damage.
Some of the nastier creatures which can be summoned by certain of these miracles, such as wraiths, have the ability to Life Drain. This is usually a bare-handed attack accompanied by the call "Life Drain!". Anyone hit by a Life Drain attack takes 1 hit of damage to their Body location, and this damage ignores physical armour and magickal defences in the same manner as Spirit Through damage. Furthermore, this damage is permanent, and cannot be healed until the character's life energy has been restored by means of a Restoration miracle.
Until a life-drained character has had a Restoration miracle cast upon them, neither healing potions, the First Aid skill, or curative miracles will be able to heal the damage inflicted by a Life Drain attack, although other wounds will still be able to be healed normally.
A character permanently reduced to 0 hits on their Body location by Life Drain attacks will fall into a coma, from which they cannot be awakened by any means until a Restoration miracle has been cast upon them. A character killed (reduced to -4 hits on their Body location) by a Life Drain attack will almost always rise from the grave as an incorporeal undead or Spirit creature, usually a wraith, ghost or banshee.
The Minor Bless, Major Bless, Spirit Shield and Spirit Armour miracles can all be used to defend against Life Drain attacks.

Description: With this miracle the Lorewarden can instantly dispel the animating spirit from any one zombie, or inflict 2 hits of Spirit Through damage to any one undead creature of any type.
Note that some rare zombies may be more powerful than usual, and thus will only take damage from this spell rather than being instantly dismissed.
On learning this miracle, a Lorewarden gains the 'Discern Nature Of Undead' skill at level 1 for no cost, if they do not already have it.

Description: This miracle will give a single yes/no answer, depending on whether or not the specified statement contained a falsehood.
Description: This miracle is identical to the first level Dismiss Zombie miracle, except that it affects skeletons as well as zombies, and will inflict 3 hits of Spirit Through damage to any other undead creature.
Note that some rare skeletons and zombies may be more powerful than usual, and thus will only take damage from this spell rather than being instantly dismissed.
"Spirits of harmony, I implore thee to bestow thy favour and thy blessing upon this person/creature here."

Description: This miracle will add 1 hit to each of the target's locations. These extra hits can absorb damage from both physical attacks and spiritual attacks, including Spirit Through damage and Life Drain attacks, but are ignored by Elemental magickal attacks.
A Minor Curse and a Minor Bless cast on the same target will mutually cancel each other out, while a Major Curse will override this miracle completely (see the third level Major Bless miracle).
Note that damage to a Bless miracle is taken before other damage, and cannot be healed or repaired. Casting a subsequent Bless (Minor or Major) on the same target will restore any damage lost from the current Bless miracle, but is not cumulative.
On learning this miracle, a Lorewarden gains the 'Discern Fortune' skill at no cost, if they do not already have it.
"Spirits of the Fellowship, I implore thee to touch this weapon with thy divine power!"

Description: This miracle will imbue a weapon with spiritual power such that it can damage incorporeal spirits and certain other creatures which are immune to normal physical weapons.
For the duration of this miracle, the affected weapon is able to inflict Spirit damage, (e.g. a sword which normally inflicted Single damage would inflict Spirit Single damage while under the effect of this miracle).
This miracle does not give the affected weapon the ability to do Spirit Through damage.
"Spirit of [NOUN] in harmony stand, for in friendship shall our spirits be bound!"

Description: This will make the casting Lorewarden a trusted friend of
the affected creature. If the Befriended creature is killed due to the
Lorewarden's direct or indirect actions while under the effect of this
miracle, then the power of the miracle will rebound upon the casting
Lorewarden, inflicting 1 hit of Spirit Through damage to their Body
location per level of the killed creature. This damage cannot be
prevented by any means, but may be healed normally by anyone other than
the caster themself.
The [NOUN] in the verbal should be replaced by some common noun
describing the creature to be befriended (e.g. human, ratkin, night
goblin, drow, etc.).
"By the power of the spirit at my command, I bid this pestilence begone!"

Description: This miracle will cure any spiritual or natural disease.
Recovery from the disease is virtually instantaneous, regardless of the
degree to which it had progressed prior to curing, except death. Items or
bodies may also be cured of disease using this miracle. Note that some
effects of the disease, e.g. loss of limbs, blindness, death, etc. may
not be cured by this spell, depending on the extent to which the disease
has infested the recipient of the spell.
On learning this miracle, the Lorewarden gains the 'Discern Disease'
skill, if he does not already have it.
Description: This miracle is identical to the first level Dismiss Zombie miracle, except that it affects ghouls as well skeletons and zombies, and will inflict four hits of Spirit Through damage to any other undead creature.

Description: This will cancel the effect of a Cause Fear, Halt or Stasis miracle, and any other spiritually induceed fear or paralysis, including that caused by undead and dæmons.

Description: This miracle has the same effect as the second level 'Minor Bless' miracle, except that it lasts for twenty four hours. If a blessed character performs an act contrary to the religious tenets of the blessing Lorewarden then the miracle is instantly negated. A Lorewarden can only maintain a number of Bless miracles equal to their level in the 'Miracle Learning - Fellowship' skill at any one time.

Zombie' miracle, except that it affects ghasts as well as ghouls,
skeletons and zombies, and will inflict five hits of Spirit Through
damage to any other undead creature.
On learning this miracle, the Lorewarden gains the 'Discern Nature of Undead'
skill at level 2 for no cost, if he does not already have it.
"Spirits of harmony at my command, drive all venom from this soul!"
Somatic: Lay both hands upon the chest of the recipient

Description: This will neutralise any poison that is within the body of a person, preventing any further damage occurring due to poison still in the body, but not curing any poison damage that has already been caused. Most poisons will begin to cause damage immediately but will not kill for five minutes and may be neutralised within this time. This miracle may also be used to neutralise other effects in someone's system, depending upon their cause.
Description: This miracle is identical to the first level Dismiss Zombie miracle, except that it affects mummies as well as ghasts, ghouls, skeletons and zombies, and will inflict six hits of Spirit Through damage to any other undead creature.

Description: This miracle is similar to the second level Detect Lie miracle, except that if the specified statement did contain a lie, then as well as the lie being discovered the truth of what really happened is revealed to the caster.
Description: This miracle is identical to the first level Dismiss Zombie miracle, except that it will instantly banish any one wraith from this Plane, or instantly dispel the animating spirit from any one mummy, ghast, ghoul, skeleton or zombie, and will inflict seven hits of Spirit Through damage to any other undead creature.
"Spirits of the Fellowship of the Heavenly Road, hear me! I abjure thee by the power of my lore! By the power vested in me, succour this unfortunate spirit, and help me to drive the discord from this person! Spirit of discord, there is no place for thee here! By the power of my spirit and by the power of these spirits of harmony that I now summon, thou art cast out! Spirit of discord, begone!"

Description: This miracle will remove a spirit of possession. For this
miracle to succeed, the Exorcising Lorewarden must have an equal or
higher level of the Miracle Learning skill than that of the Lorewarden
who cast the Possession, or the Exorcism has no effect. If the Possession
came from a source other than a Court Lorewarden, then it should be
assigned a level of 6 to 10 to represent how difficult it will be to
dispel.
On learning this miracle, the Lorewarden gains the 'Discern Possession'
skill at no cost, if he does not already have it.
"Spirits of unity, bestow thy favour upon this severed stump! Let bones grow and sinews strengthen! Let muscles mend and skin spread! By my command, let this arm/leg be as good as new!"
Somatic: Touch area to be regenerated
Range: Touch
Duration: Instantaneous or 7 days (see below)
Description: When this miracle has been cast on a person with a missing
limb, that limb immediately begins to regrow. If this miracle is cast
within five minutes of the limb having been severed, then it will regrow
instantaneously. Otherwise, the limb will gradually regenerate over a
period of seven days.
This miracle will also work for eyes and other organs.
"Spirits of harmony, spirits of unity, succour this mortal soul that lies stricken before me. Let his/her wounds be cleansed and his/her strength returned. By my command, let this person be healed!"
Somatic: Touch person to be healed with both hands

Description: This miracle will cure all wounds and ailments, as well as all damage taken from them (including poison, disease etc.). It will also remove the effects of all potions and poisons, whether harmful or beneficial.
Description: This miracle is identical to the first level Dismiss
Zombie miracle, except that it will instantly banish any one wight or
wraith from this plane, or instantly dispel the animating spirit from any
one mummy, ghast, ghoul, skeleton or zombie, and will inflict eight hits
of Spirit Through damage to any other undead creature.
On learning this miracle, the Lorewarden gains the 'Discern Nature of Undead'
skill at level 3 for no cost, if he does not already have it.
"Spirits of unity, spirits of harmony, holy patrons of the Heavenly Road, bestow thy favour upon this ravaged spirit! See, his/her soul is wounded - take strength from his/her heart, and let his/her spirit be renewed!"
Somatic: Lay hands on recipient's chest
Range: Touch
Duration: Instantaneous
Description: Using this miracle, the caster may restore five lost
experience points to a character. These experience points must have been
lost by spiritual means, such as level drains, casting Resurrections,
etc., and when regained will also restore any accompanying powers /
abilities that the character had lost.
When this miracle is cast its recipient takes 3 hits of Spirit
Through damage to their Body location, which can be healed normally.
There is no limit on the amount of time that can elapse between the
loss of experience points and their Restoration.
Description: This miracle will instantly cast the spirit of a vampire
from its host body and banish it back to the Spirit Plane. The vampire's
host body will collapse and crumble into dust, and the vampire's spirit
may not be summoned from the spirit plane again until at least seven
years have passed.
In all other respects this miracle is identical to the first level
Dismiss Zombie miracle, and will also instantly banish any one wight or
wraith from this plane, or instantly dispel the animating spirit from any
one mummy, ghast, ghoul, skeleton or zombie, and will inflict nine hits
of Spirit Through damage to any other undead creature.
"Almighty [PATRON] I call upon thee to aid my sight, grant me the power to see the spirits of others and to perceive the balance of harmony within their nature."
Somatic: None
Range: 20 feet
Duration: 24 hours / until unconscious
Description: This miracle grants its caster the ability to perceive the
spiritual aura of those he meets. For the duration of the spell he is
able to determine the full alignment of as many creatures as he wishes,
and also whether or not they are possessed, blessed, cursed, diseased,
plus other details at the GM's discretion. The caster is automatically
able to perceive all illusions for what they truly are. The caster must
be able to perceive a creature by normal means in order to see their
aura, this miracle cannot be used as a twenty four hour Spirit Of Seeing.
The caster must also state exactly what they are looking for in each
case, e.g. discerning disease.
This miracle lasts for twenty four hours at the maximum, and will cease
before then if the caster loses consciousness for any reason, such as
being knocked out (even for an instant) or going to sleep.
On learning this Miracle, the Lorewarden gains one additional level of the
'True Sight' skill, unless he already has the skill at level 5.
"Spirits of undeath I dismiss thee hence, spirits of discord begone!"
Somatic: Present open palm of weapon hand to target creatures

Description: With this miracle the Lorewarden can instantly dispel the animating spirit from a group of skeletons or zombies. Up to thirteen levels of undead will be affected, although this number may be reduced if the affected undead are particularly powerful examples of their type. For the purposes of this miracle, each zombie counts as one level of undead, and each skeleton counts as two levels of undead.
"Spirits of harmony, spirits of unity, I call upon thee to bestow thy blessing upon my humble hands, that through them thou may work thy healing powers. Grant me thy favour, that my touch may succour all those in need and staunch their mortal wounds!"
Somatic: Bathe hands in a font of pure water

Description: For the next hour, the caster will gain the ability to
heal all those he meets with but a touch of his hands. A character may
only benefit once from the caster's Healing Touch for each casting of
this miracle.
When touching someone, the caster may choose to either:
If the caster harms any creature, other than an undead or Elemental, before the duration of this miracle has expired, then this miracle ends immediately and the caster takes 3 hits of Spirit Through damage to each arm. This damage may not be prevented by any means, but may be healed normally by anyone other than the caster themself.
"Spirit[s] of [NAME(S)], behold the symbol of [PATRON DEITY], by my power and the power of the spirits of harmony and unity I dismiss thee! Begone foul spirit[s] of chaos and discord, return to the Plane from whence thou came, spirit[s] of undeath begone!"
Description: This miracle will instantly banish or dispel the animating
spirit from any one undead creature of anything less than godlike
power.
Alternatively, with this miracle the Lorewarden can instantly banish
or dispel the animating spirit from a group of lesser undead creatures.
Up to thirteen levels of undead will be affected, although this
number may be reduced if the affected undead are particularly powerful
examples of their type. For the purposes of this miracle, undead count as
follows:
On learning this Miracle, the Lorewarden gains the 'Discern Nature of Undead' skill at level 4 for no cost, if he does not already have it.
"Spirits of death, fly from this place! There is no succour for thee
here! By my powers and by the powers of unity, by the powers of harmony,
by the blessed powers of the Fellowship of the Heavenly Road, I call upon
the spirit of [CHARACTER] to return to this place! Your time has not yet
come! Come and be reunited with your body lying here! Return to the land
of the living!"
[REPEAT VOCALS ONCE FOR EACH TIME THE CHARACTER HAS DIED]
Somatic: Anoint the corpse with sacred oils, place five lighted candles
around the corpse, then pass hands over the corpse in a gathering motion,
ending with an upward sweep.
Range: Over body
Duration: Instantaneous
Description: This miracle will restore a dead character to life,
provided the character has been dead for less than two days. Also
required are five lit candles, one placed at the head of the corpse, one
at each shoulder and one at each foot. Furthermore, the corpse must be
anointed with specially prepared sacred oils worth 70 hexa.
For every
time the recipient has died there is a 10% chance of failure (i.e. 10%
the first time they are Resurrected, 20% the second time, etc.). Also,
the vocals must be repeated once for every time beyond the first a
character has been killed (with an additional scroll being used each
time, if scrolls are being used). If the Resurrection fails then the body
of its recipient crumbles to dust and that character can never again be
returned to life. In all cases the Lorewarden still loses the spirit
points used.
If the Resurrection is successful then the casting Lorewarden will lose 1
level, as if they had just suffered from a Level Drain. The Resurrected
character will return to life with 1 hit on each location, (or with 2
total hits for monsters without locational hits,) in addition to any
armour they are wearing, and will have no expendable skills, Mana or
spirit points until they have rested for at least twenty-four hours.
This miracle will not work on characters or creatures who are aligned to
the Court of the Heavenly Wheel, on creatures without a spirit such as
Iaché and Elementals, or on any undead or dæmonic being. The
body used must be the body of the recipient, present with the head and
all the vital organs intact (although any missing limbs will be
regenerated by the spell as per the Regenerate miracle). A body that has
been animated as or used as the host body of an undead creature cannot
ever be Resurrected.
The Sword Of Vengeance is a weapon of which legends are spoken, a
weapon forged only by the gods themselves. The ability to summon the
sword is granted only to those who have served their deity with utter
devotion, bestowing upon the sword's wielder the opportunity to shape
destiny itself.
The effects of this miracle are entirely at the discretion of the GM
running the adventure and of the FLRP Organiser, and will likely vary
each time a character uses the miracle. Casting the miracle requires
a period of extended prayer and ritual beforehand, during which the
casting Lorewarden must sacrifice something of great value to them. Only
once the prayer and ritual has been completed will the casting Lorewarden
discover whether or not the spirits will answer his prayers, and woe
betide one who asks and is found unworthy, for the gods themselves will
strike him down!
It is said that, in a time of great need, the gods may grant the Sword
Of Vengeance to a Lorewarden without the completion of the requisite
prayers and rituals beforehand, but only if the sacrifice the Lorewarden
offers is his own life...
The spirit of a Lorewarden who is found worthy of making this supreme
sacrifice travels directly to the Heavenly Road, and they may never be
Resurrected.

"By the power of my spirit - Despirit One!"

Description: With this the Lorewarden sends out a spirit that reports on the spirit sizes in the area and where they are located. It takes 10 seconds for the spirit to go out and then return, thus it will reveal where the target was then, and targettted spells and melee are not possible. The spirit sizes are defined as follows:

Description: This miracle calls forth the spirit of a place to aid the
Lorewarden. It makes miracles easier to cast, all miracles of level two
and above have their casting cost reduced by one Spirit point if the
casting Lorewarden is of an appropriate religion. (For example, a level
six spell will cost five Spirit points to cast.)
Furthermore, use
of the Spiritual Meditation skill meditation grants an additional
spirit point within this area, and Spirits of Slaying may be summoned.
"Spirit of Zombie, thou art mine to command!"
Somatic: Point at Zombie
Range: 20 feet
Duration: 15 minutes
Description: This miracle allows the casting Lorewarden to take control
of a single Zombie, this control only allows the Lorewarden to give the
Zombie simple commands such as "Kill him!", "If anyone hits me,
attack them", etc. When the control finishes the Zombie will continue
to obey the last command given indefinitely.
If a Lorewarden tries to control a Zombie already controlled by another
Lorewarden, then the Lorewarden with the highest level of the
Miracle Learning skill gains or
retains control. If both Lorewardens have the same level of skill then
the person already in control of the zombie maintains control.
If at any time the zombie moves more than twenty feet from the caster then
control is lost, and the Zombie will continue to obey the last command
given indefinitely.
On learning this miracle, the Lorewarden gains the 'Discern Nature of
Undead' skill at level 1 for no cost, if he does not already have it.
"By the power of my spirit - Despirit Two!"

Description: This miracle creates a wall which is impassable to lesser creatures of a specific alignment. It will prevent creatures of either the Court or the Fellowship, as specified in the verbal, from passing. However, it will only affect spirits and creatures whose hits are less than four times the casting Lorewarden's level of the Miracle Learning skill.

Description: This miracle will protect the recipient from the first 6 points of spiritual damage he receives. It has no effect upon normal or magical damage. Examples of spiritual damage are :
Much like a Dodge, it is up to the player to decide when the Spirit
Shield protects them - permanent effects are dealt with at the
Battleboard as is damage taken, but temporary effects usually happen
during combat and the player should keep some idea of how many "points"
they have used up.
The shield will not stack with a Spiritual Armour miracle.
"Spirit in adversity, answer me these questions three"

Description: This miracle allows the Lorewarden to ask three questions of a spirit, and in the case of the following spirit types a truthful (one word) answer will be given:
All other spirits having this miracle cast upon it must answer but they need not answer truthfully. It will also not prevent the spirit from attacking the party if hostile, until the questions are answered.
"Spirit of Ghoul, thou art mine to command!"

Description: Except as detailed here, this miracle is identical to the second level Control Zombie miracle. When the control wears off the Ghoul will be under its own control, rather than following the last command given - if hungry (and ghouls usually are) then it will immediately attack the nearest living thing for food, otherwise it may return to its own den or try to find a new lair. Ghouls will never under any circumstances enter direct sunlight, even if commanded to do so.

Description: This miracle allows a Lorewarden to ask three questions of "the all knowing, all seeing" spirits of their deity or religeon (e.g. Was Sanrak assassinated ?, Is that chest trapped ?). Answers of "Yes" or "No" are given, but if the answer is not known then no answer is given, and the question is wasted. The spirits contacted with this miracle cannot see the future, nor are they totally infallible.
"By the power of the [ALIGNMENT] and for the greater glory of [RELIGION] I instill religious fervour in you"

Description: When this miracle is cast it causes the Instilled character to fight for their cause. It can only be cast by the Lorewarden on another character of the same alignment with respect to the Felloweship, the Natural spirits and the Court, or one who worships the lorewarden's god(s) exclusively. It grants the recipient +1 Strength, +1 stamina hit to each location, and total immunity to fear. The hits granted by this spell may not be healed. That person will fight in a semi-berserk rage not leaving combat until it is finished. The spiritual hits gained by this miracle will stack with a Bless and Spirit armour. Anyone under the influence of this spell will be too enraged to cast miracles or spells.

Description: This miracle is used to make a pact between a Lorewarden and another of the same alignment (i.e. F/N/C). The oath must be taken of free will, with the person under the influence of no other miracle (e.g. Beguile). Should the person at a later date perform the action which breaks the oath, then the oath breaker receives a permanent curse.

Description: A Rune of Power is used to hold a spirit, causing it to protect some item or area. A RoP can have one of three effects, and can be triggered in two ways. The effects of a RoP may be Fear (of the rune itself), Insanity or Paralysis. A rune is triggered either by disturbing it (e.g. picking up an item with a rune on) or by transgressing into a protected area (e.g. passing a rune on a wall/door/tree). Runes of disturbance placed on weapons/shields etc are disturbed the first time they are moved.

Description: This will call a spirit to enter into a weapon such that the weapon will increase its damage by +1. The weapon now consecrated can hit creatures that belong to the spirit plane e.g. Wraiths, Discorporate Lorewardens etc. Creatures with spirit sight can see that the blade is enchanted thus. The weilder should call the damage as "Spirit Double" (or more if they do extra damage).
"I call upon the spirits of [PATRON], Bestow thy favour on your followers here!" [TOUCH EACH PERSON TO BE AFFECTED SAYING] "Let [DEITY(S)]'S spirit be with you in this battle!" They can be affected by any kind of damage, and while they have 3 or more hits they can fly (by spiritual means). The being is intelligent and will obey any commands give by the caster as long as they are not contrary to the cults interests. It will remain for 15 min. or until one task or battle is completed, whatever is the shortest.

Description: This creates a barrier which is completely impervious to all spiritual effects. No miracles may be cast into or out of the volume enclosed by the wall, and no purely spiritual creatures (i.e. Wraiths) may cross the wall. However any creature with a physical body (i.e. humans, Wight's) may freely cross. If the caster leaves the area then the wall ceases to exist. Any events that take place inside the wall cannot be divined - all miracles associated with such miracles that are already inside the area are expelled when the wall is created. Since the gods cannot see into a spirit wall, their powers cannot be drawn upon, all miracles are temporarily negated including blesses/curses and divine favours, when within the wall. No miracles of any form or religion may be cast or spiritual items used within the wall whatsoever.

Description: When a Lorewarden casts this miracle upon himself, he and all his possessions are converted to a purely spiritual form for 15 mins. This grants complete immunity from physical and magical damage but the caster is still affected by spiritual effects. The caster is still visible as a vague, wraith like form and the caster can see, hear and speak to other characters normally. Also the caster can directly see the other character's spirits and any other spirits in sight, but has no innate ability to read surface thoughts or determine alignments. While discorporate the caster can only interact with others by casting miracles, which he can do normally. The only time which he can damage others (apart from harmful miracles) is if he has a purely spiritual weapon (the weapon description must describe it as such, weapons that are "+0", or "+1 spiritual", do not qualify). Whilst in this form the caster gains only has only stamina hits, plus any hits he gains from spirit shields etc.
"All seeing all knowing spirits, you whose powers are great, give me the answers to these questions I now ask"

Description: The effects of this miracle are identical to those of 'Communication I', except that the answers are given in the form of short phrases or sentences of up to seven words. Note that the gods have sight of almost everywhere, and if it was possible to cast a miracle at that location then the gods will be able to know anything that has happened at that site, regardless of time interval. They cannot predict the future. The questions must be asked only from a ref.

Description: This miracle allows the caster to force a powerful
spiritual creature to some sort of agreement with him, or be dismissed.
The creature affected can be undead, or demonic in the spiritual sense.
When the miracle has been cast, the two participants must begin
negotiations and have a maximum of 5 minutes to reach a mutually
acceptable agreement. The agreement can concern any matter, and will
usually involve something along the lines of the creature not harming the
caster later and/or performing some service, in return the caster will
perform some service or task. During this period the creature cannot
directly attack the Lorewarden though it can take other actions leading
to his indirect harm (telling his minions to attack him etc..,) and can
do anything to the casters companions. If the caster loses consciousness
during this period the miracle is broken (just being hit does not count).

In the grand tradition of all such pacts, the participants are bound by the letter of the agreement, not by its spirit, i.e. an exact written copy of the pact should be given to the ref.

Description: With this miracle the lorewarden can create one Zombie
with 1 hit from recently killed bodies. The body must be less than 28
days old. After creation the Zombie is under control for 15 minutes and

will continue to obey their last command indefinitely. Control is lost if
the zombie ever moves more than 20ft from the caster. A body may only be
animated once ever.

Undead' skill at level 1 for no cost, if he does not already have it.

decreased by one stage (half goes to no damage, single goes to half,
double and greater does one less hit). Multiple curses cannot be cast on

the third level spell Major Bless for details.

Description: This miracle is similar to the Animate Zombie miracle. The
corpse to be raised must be more than 28 days old (to remove the flesh).
The created skeleton has 2 hits and is under the caster's control. When
the control wears off (15 minutes after
creation) the skeleton will continue to obey its last command.
Skeletons only take half damage from sharp weapons, can move at normal
speed, and can use weapons in either hand for single or both for bastard
double.
"Spirit behold thy Nemesis and be afraid!"

Description: This causes the victim to be terrified of the casting Lore Warden and they will flee his immediate vicinity. The victim is completely unable to attack the Lore Warden unless they are cornered and the Lorewarden continues to advance, then the victim may attack the Lorewarden to get past them, and once past the fear is as normal.
"By my spirits, let truth and falsehood be overturned"

Description: This causes the victim to become inflicted with a non-contagious spiritual disease. The effects of the disease are:

It must also have been wrapped in bandages soaked in an elaborate ointment which cost 100 hexa. The caster may then cast one of the following miracles on the mummy, it will then strike for that effect in combat as spiritual through.
This creates a Mummy with 5 hits hitting for double (physical), which is under a weak (as if cast by a 1st level Lorewarden) control for 15 minutes after which it will almost certainly go on the rampage striking out at all it sees. Mummys are notorious for their psychotic tendencies...
"Spirits of the Eternal Wheel I command thee to enter this body to do my bidding"

Description: With this miracle a Lorewarden binds a spirit into the target forcing them to do the Lorewardens will. The victim will obey any order given, including suicide, immediately and without question. Possessed spirit users are unable to cast good miracles. A possessed character will generally act in an evil way and will discern as evilly aligned. A character may only have one spirit possessing him/her at one time, the possessing spirit from the highest level caster (at the time of casting) being dominant and forcing out all other possessing spirits. A character of equal or greater level than the possessing Lorewarden (because of levels gained after being possessed) may distort the intention of his/her master's commands. A possessing spirit may be removed using the Exorcism miracle.

A Wraith is controlled for the first 5 minutes only, after which it is under its own control, and is likely to attack the summoner as soon as possible, unless it was treated with the utmost respect. While controlled the wraith may be commanded to return to its own plane, and will usually be grateful if told to do so, it is then free from control and will not return. A wraith may either level drain (remove 5 xp), paralyse victims with fear or cause fear (4 levels) upon touch. It has 6 hits, but may not be damaged by normal weapons.

Description: This miracle allows a Lorewarden to regain hit points by draining the spiritual essence of a victim. Two points of locational are drained immediately and a further 1 hit from the touched location every 30 seconds for the next 5 minutes, and transferred to the appropriate location on the lorewarden. The Lorewarden has 30 seconds to touch the victim with both hands to start the miracle, and then continue touching with both hands to receive the curing throughout and if any of his hands lose contact or the creature dies then the caster may not gain any further curing from this casting of the miracle. The victim however will continue to lose hits even if they are not being touched by lorewarden. The victim is not restrained by this miracle in any way. The caster may never exceed their total life points.

except that a Wight is summoned. The ritual is identical to the one that

The Wight will appear 5 minutes after the incantation is complete and
remains until dismissed or destroyed. The Wight is controlled for the
first 5 minutes only, after which it is under its own control. The Wight
can level drain as many times as it likes, paralyse with fear or fear 4
levels. It has 10 hits, and is immune to non-spiritual weapons. Again a
Wight cannot be summoned into daylight and will always shun such light.
On learning this Miracle, the Lorewarden gains the 'Discern Nature of
Undead' skill at level 3 for no cost, if he does not already have it.

Description: With this miracle a Lorewarden can summon a vampire fro
the spirit plane. The ritual to be followed is:
The vampire will appear after 5 minutes after the vocals are completed,
and enter the sacrifices body (slaying it). The vampire is not controlled
in any way, and must be persuaded to do tasks. To be on the safe side
summoning the vampire from within a Major Ward Of Power or leaving the
sacrifice in a protection from spirits (evil), (sitting in a comfy chair
with a fresh drink, if you don't want to upset the vampire) is probably a
wise move.
Summoned vampires have 15 hits, and only take magical and spiritual
damage. They do 3 hits of physical damage and a level drain or freeze
fear with bare hands, and may use any weapon they wish. Vampires have
permanent +1 strength. If a vampire bites a creatures neck it causes 1
points of permanent damage to the body and does a double level (10 XP)
drain, gaining two hits and one maximum hit for each level drained.
Vampires may change into a bat, rat or wolf at will, and in addition may
change into a diffuse spiritual form, in which they are only affected by
spiritual effects/barriers and regenerate 1 hit lost to magical damage or
sunlight every minute. Vampires may beguile (as the miracle) up to 3
people of their level or lower simultaneously - no vocals are required
for this, only eye to eye contact. Undead of lower level than the vampire
will never attack it, even if ordered to do so, unless they are attacked
by the vampire first.
Vampires take 1 hit of damage every 30 seconds they are in direct
sunlight, and will shun garlic or a forcibly presented holy symbol.
Vampires can be killed by an oak stake driven through their heart while
in their coffins, cast no reflection, and cannot enter a dwelling
uninvited or cross running water. Vampires cannot be summoned in
daylight.

Description: To cast this spell a lorewarden must utter the vocals and then touch some person with both hands within 30 seconds. If no-one is touched within this period, the miracle is wasted. When a person is touched, the victim is instantly killed and the caster loses a level.
