Fortuna, God of Divine Favour

God: Fortuna
Alignment: Fellowship of the Heavenly Road

"Oh, you want to serve Fortuna do you? Oh, great! Come in! Of course, we charge a small fee for training and so forth, but it's not much. How much? Oh, let me see now... there's three hexa for the embalming ceremony, four hexa for the robes, food... that'll come to... oh, yes, what you've got in your belt pouch looks about right. What do you mean that's all your money in the world? To worship Fortuna you must give up your worldly possessions..."

Barnabus the Bard, High Priest of Fortuna

The worship of Fortuna is one of the least popular religions in the city of Outpost. The High Priest of Fortuna, Barnabus the Bard, began his career with no spiritual powers, and the existence of the god at all is debatable. However, the religion is registered with the Lorewarden's Guild, through what means Fortuna only knows. Ever since, it has been a thorn in the side of the powers that be. The Fortunists, as Fortuna's priests like to be known, have consistently reminded the people of Outpost of Kurt Zelchew's incompetence. Barnabus is, however, facing strict censure if he does not relent in these activities in the near future.

The actual belief structure of the Fortunists is unclear, although it seems to center on attempting to gain as much wealth as possible from whomever possible. It also seems to exist to acquire power from the other religions in the city. The Fortunists are regularly expelled from the other temples of the city for using somewhat unique practices in their recruitment, for example accusing The Temple of being a 'bunch of whores'.

Still, don't let this notoriety put you off. Fortuna is one of the laxest gods in the city, allowing its priests to do virtually anything they want.
